DESIGNED by a biologist.
Austin McKenna has a Ph.D. in Integrative Physiology and genomics with a primary focus on understanding how organisms respond to environmental stimuli. With the current gym atmosphere flooded with influencer pseudo-science, he felt driven to bring science back to the gym.
Austin has a particular expertise in understanding how the underlying genetic architecture influences biological responses.
CELLULAR longevity
Re-program your biological age through physical activity

Decrease Chronic Inflammation

Slow-twitch fibers
genotype: CC
Fast-twitch fibers
genotype(s): CT or TT
Everyone has unique underlying biological architecture that responds differently to the same environmental stimulus. Understanding each individuals' underlying genetics and physiology informs us 1) how the body will respond to a given workout stimulus and 2) what stimuli will provide the greatest biological response.
The classic example of a single gene for muscle fiber composition demonstrates this variation. Individuals with the genotype for more slow-twitch muscle fibers (CC) are likely to have more of a biological response to muscular endurance approaches; whereas, individuals with the genotype for more fast-twitch muscle fibers (CT or TT) are likely to have a greater response to muscular strength approaches.

Decrease Cellular Senescence
Zombie cells (senescent) are cells that stop dividing but have not undergone cell death. An accumulation of these cells can contribute to tissue dysfunction and inflammation. Regular physical activity reduces the biomarkers of senescent cells by down regulating senescent-related and inflammatory genes.

Increase Insulin Sensitivity

Lower Biological Age
Over our lives the genome accumulates and loses methylation events which contributes to aging. Some genes turn on when they shouldn't and others turn off when they should be on. Most age related diseases are actually a consequence of this natural process. However, regular physical activity has been shown to re-program your biological clock and in turn combat cellular aging.
